LAUREN BLOMDAHL - Director
Lauren moved to Sydney from the Central Coast at 17 to study full time at Brent Street Studios where she gained her Cert IV in performing arts. She then furthered her training in LA a few years later.
Lauren has travelled the world as a performer, including becoming a residential dancer at Tokyo Disneyland and performing in a residential show in The Venetian casino, Macau.
Lauren has been in TV commercials including Bonds, Kmart, Cadbury, Woman’s Day and Ministry of Sound and danced her way into movies Happy Feet and Son of Mask. She also appeared on the Today Show, Sunrise and Australia’s Got Talent with girl group Femme Fatales and has performed at the MTV Awards Australia, Australian Idol Grand Final, the Logies, Fashion Week, Carnival Choreographers ball in LA and the opening and closing ceremonies for the Sydney Olympics.
Lauren has also had the opportunity to perform alongside renowned artists including PINK, Jessica Mauboy, Natalie Bassingthwaite, Kelly Clarkson, and Marvin Priest. She was also a featured dancer in music videos for Australian artists including Jessica Mauboy, Israel Cruz, Cassie Davis and Seany B. Lauren now loves and has so much joy giving back all of her industry knowledge and experiences through her passion for teaching and Choreography and is looking forward to what Milk has in store for 2022!!!
GEORGIE PRICE
Georgie is a bright, kind hearted and eager choreographer. She was born on the Central Coast and she has been training in all genres of dance under the guidance of many industry working professionals, Georgie has choreographed pieces for several showcases and enjoys the creative process. She has participated in many competitions both interstate and overseas such as Hip Hop International, Dancers Paradise and Danchella. Georgie has a passion for the Hip Hop culture and strives to empower and motivate the younger generation.
SHANI SWEETMAN
Shani Sweetnam completed her Cert IV in dance at Dance Force Studios in 2015 before securing her first contract overseas. Which then lead her to 3 more cruise contracts before moving to London for 2 years, where she worked with the likes of Squared Division on X Factor. Shani made the move to Sydney in 2022 & has been working in the commercial dance scene since. Dancing for likes of Kylie Minogue, Ava Max, Agnes, Peach PRC, Tones & I, Amy Shark & many more. She has performed at the FIFA Women's World Cup, FIBA WWC, Australian Idol, The Logies, The Aria Awards & most recently the Tik Tok awards. Shani primarily teaches Commercial Jazz & Jazz Tech and is excited to share her knowledge of the industry with her students!
GEORGE HOAD
George Hoad has trained in the performing arts since a young age and began pre-professional training in dance at age 15.
He completed both Cert IV in Dance & Cert IV in Dance Teaching and Management throughout this training.
George currently works as a professional commercial dancer in Sydney, most recently: A new film directed by Rebel Wilson, Mardi Gras performances, dancing behind artist Becca Hatch, and the Allianz Stadium opening.
George has trained under Australia's top teachers of dance in all styles and has assisted on choreography works for professional musicals and touring artists. He now teaches across Sydney, sharing his passion and gained knowledge in a nurturing environment.
EMILY FOX
Emily is a passionate and experienced performer and teacher with a diverse background in musical theatre and dance. She completed two years of full-time training at Village Nation in Sydney, earning a Diploma of Musical Theatre, Cert IV in Dance, and Cert IV in Dance Teaching and Management. Emily performed in Singapore in 2022 and has also been apart of musicals The Wizard of Oz (GMS 2024), Phantom of the Opera (Curtain Bounce 2024), and soon to be Legally Blonde (GMS 2025), which opens in February. Emily has been teaching dance since 2018, specialising in styles like lyrical, ballet, musical theatre, and technique. Emily is thrilled to be continuing on with the team at Milk this year and can’t wait to share her passion for dance with her students
